ICANN86 | Policy Forum Seville

ICANN86 Policy Forum will be held in Seville, Spain at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre from 8 - 11 June 2026.

This will be a hybrid meeting with both in-person and virtual participation.

All sessions will be conducted during regular working hours in Seville, Spain (Central European Summer Time, CEST, Commences on 29 March 2026 / UTC+2:00 hours).

Prep Week will be conducted on 20 and 21 May, 2026.

Session Details
In December 2025, the GNSO Council initiated the Policy Development Process (PDP) on DNS Abuse Mitigation with a focus on "Associated Domain Checks." This DNS Abuse Mitigation PDP 1 Working Group held its kickoff meeting at ICANN85 Mumbai and has since made steady progress on its charter questions. During this prep week session, the PDP 1 leadership will give an update to the community on progress to date and what to expect at ICANN86 Seville.

Join the Review of Reviews Cross Community Group (CCG) to hear about the refreshed system of reviews proposed in its Draft Report. Use this opportunity to ask your clarifying questions and to provide input. The Review of Reviews CCG is a collaborative effort that brings together the ICANN Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, ICANN Board, and ICANN org to conduct a fundamental evaluation of reviews set out in the ICANN Bylaws, with the intended purpose of enhancing ICANN's accountability, transparency and effectiveness.

ICANN invites the community to engage on developments in the global Internet governance landscape. The session will cover updates on the preparations for the Internet Governance Forum 2026; coordination with intergovernmental organizations such as the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), including preparations for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in November 2026; outcomes from the 29th session of the U.N. Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD); and relevant activities involving the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Participants will be invited to ask questions, share insights, and offer perspectives.
